Dorf Ketal

folkland csr

Founded in the year 1992, Dorf Ketal was driven by passion and inspired by innovation. Our excellence is not restricted to our scope of business. We want to give back to the society merely not to abide by the social responsibility mandates, but to do some real good for the society. The aim is to be the leading example of a corporate citizen with a social responsibility by empowering the vulnerable lives and transforming society into a better place. Our endeavours don’t end at facilitation and empowerment of our beneficiaries. We make our presence felt even at a grassroot level. We work hand in hand with our partners right from inception to completion of every project. In other words, it’s not just the glory that we share with our partners, we share the hard work as well.

Preserving Heritage, Empowering Lives: Folkland- ICFC and Dorf Ketal’s Impactful Initiatives

In the face of unprecedented challenges, individuals and communities worldwide have faced immense hardship, both physically and emotionally. Amidst the pain, loss, and stress, the role of health organizations, government agencies, and NGOs has become more crucial than ever in mitigating the impact and fostering resilience.

Folkland-International Centre for Folklore and Culture (Folkland ICFC), a Kerala-based NGO, stands out as a beacon of hope, embodying its vision of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Kerala. Their unwavering determination and commitment have led to remarkable initiatives that empower marginalized communities, revitalize traditional art forms, and champion sustainable development.

With the support of Dorf Ketal’s CSR initiatives, Folkland- ICFC has embarked on a journey to revive lesser-known performing arts of Kerala. This endeavour aims to:

  • Safeguard and promote traditional art forms:Preserve the rich cultural heritage of Kerala by providing a platform for lesser-known performing arts to thrive.
  • Empower marginalized communities:Create sustainable livelihoods for artists from marginalized communities, ensuring their economic well-being and social inclusion.
  • Enhance artistic skills:Conduct skill training workshops to nurture the talent of artists and ensure the continuity of traditional art forms.
  • Promote cultural exchange:Facilitate cultural exchange opportunities, showcasing Kerala’s performing arts to a wider audience and fostering appreciation for diverse artistic expressions.

Driven by the belief that cultural preservation is an integral part of sustainable development, Folkland ICFC and Dorf Ketal are committed to safeguarding Kerala’s cultural heritage while empowering marginalized communities. Their partnership exemplifies the transformative power of collaboration, demonstrating how corporates and NGOs can work together to address societal challenges and create a more equitable and vibrant world.
